Mr. Peanut returned to Times Square last week, after a 40-year absence, in a new high-tech sign created by Spectacolor Communications, New York. The first Planters peanuts sign in Times Square was erected in 1938, and Mr. Peanut last appeared there in '58. Wynn Willard, president of Nabisco Foods' Planters Co. division, was on hand to welcome the 35-foot-tall Mr. Peanut to his new perch.
