Fox Sports enters Brazil

Fox Sports International, Los Angeles, and Globosat, the Sao Paulo-based TV producer, will launch Fox Sports, a Portuguese-language, 24-hour sports channel serving the Brazilian market in second quarter 1997. The new network will be distributed by Sky Net Entertainment DBS service, also a venture between News Corp., Tele-Communications Inc., Globo Organization and Mexico-based Televisa.
