The shop will remain autonomous under its current management structure but will operate under the new name Creative AIMsm.
The acquisition is part of "Vision 2003," a strategy outlined by Frankel in January 2000 that included geographic expansion as a primary aim.
The purchase of Creative AIMsm, which specializes in grassroots events marketing, broadens Frankel's reach to the East Coast. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Conn.-based company acquired by Frankel is not related to the Lousville, Ky.-based full-service agency Creative Alliance.
