taps Yahoo! for launch

Published on ., a Cambridge, Mass., online sweepstakes site that awards education money to people who register, is teaming with Yahoo! on a concert promotion. FreeScholarships and Yahoo! are sponsoring a music tour targeting college students and teens in 20 cities nationwide. The eight-week tour starts Feb. 2. The start-up also is sponsoring a microsite Yahoo! developed for the tour. Yahoo! is spending $1.5 million in offline media and is promoting the tour on its site. DVCi Technologies, Morristown, N.J., created the marketing plan for FreeScholarships.
