Published on .

McDonald's Corp. is firing a new salvo in its fry wars with Burger King via a new :30 spot from DDB Needham Worldwide, Chicago, that breaks Christmas Day and touts the McDonald's NBA All-Star balloting promotion. Customers can make their picks in restaurants Dec. 26 through Jan. 9. The spot features Larry Bird, head coach of the Indiana Pacers, using french fries to distract Grant Hill of the Detroit Pistons.
