FT.com sales head joins Disney's Go.com Europe to set up in-house ad sales

LONDON--Walt Disney Co. (Europe) has named Antony Carbonari to the newly created post of director of advertising sales for GO.com in Europe, which includes 20 Disney-branded Web sites across Europe as well as Soccernet.com.

Mr. Carbonari, who will manage an expanded in-house sales force, will be responsible for increasing Go.com's advertising and sponsorship revenue throughout Europe. He will also oversee GO.com Europe's relationship with its external online sales house, DoubleClick. Mr. Carbonari will be based in London.

Mr. Carbonari, 35, joins GO.com from the Financial Times, where he was worldwide head of new-media sales for FT.com.
