FTC gets tough on Internet

Federal Trade Commission Chairman Robert Pitofsky is warning that the agency intends to vigorously pursue marketers to new forms of electronic commerce including the Internet and cable TV. Speaking to the government affairs conference of the American Advertising Federation last week, Mr. Pitofsky announced actions against nine companies that market their product on the Internet.
