Fuji Photo Film USA, Elmsford, N.Y., is shifting its account to Publicis, New York, from Angotti, Thomas, Hedge. Angotti's recent folding into Gotham led the U.S. subsidiary of Fuji Photo Film Co., Tokyo, to select Publicis, part of the global Publicis network, as its new agency of record without a review. "We are pleased with the work that Angotti has done for us for the last six years, but the loss of Tony Angotti and Terrie Paladino, as well as the merger and the conflict of clients it presented, resulted in this decision,'' Joan Rutherford, VP-advertising and marketing at Fuji, said in a statement. The account includes consumer and professional film and cameras, printers and services, minilabs and color paper. Spending totaled $18.8 million in 1999, according to Competitive Media Reporting. Separately up north, Fuji Photo Film Canada, Mississauga, Ontario, launched a review following the company's parting with Doner
Canada, Toronto. The two the week of April 3 announced they had mutually ended their relationship. Fuji is conducting its search through the Institute of Canadian Advertising.
