FUTURISTIC LOOK AT BIRTH CONTROL

Published on .

NEW YORK-A man's hand unwrapping a condom and an otherworldly sperm-meets-egg in a spacelike reproductive world are part of a new public service campaign for Planned Parenthood.

The five 15- and 30-second spots, from Devito/Verdi, are themed, "Birth control. Try it. It works."

The campaign first was offered to New York stations; at press time, Time Warner's City Cable and Tribune Co.'s WPIX had agreed to run all the spots.

Planned Parenthood's 160 offices nationwide will get copies of the tapes this week.
