Gateway marketing exec quits

Published on .

David Prais resigned the newly created post of global product marketing director at Gateway 2000 just two months after taking it. Gateway said Mr. Prais resigned because he wanted to go back to the U.K. and the departure was "amicable." No successor was named. Gateway is in the midst of the final pitch to select an agency to work alongside an in-house team. J. Walter Thompson USA, Chicago and New York, and D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, Los Angeles, are shortlisted and a decision is expected within weeks.
