Published on .

As expected, Gateway 2000, North Sioux City, S.D., announced it chose McCann-Erickson Worldwide, New York, as agency of record. McCann will handle creative, media, direct marketing and event marketing for the computer manufacturer, replacing D'Arcy, Masius, Benton & Bowles, Los Angeles. Billings were not disclosed, but are estimated at around $70 million. McCann is expected to retain Silicon Graphics in its San Francisco office, which landed the $40 million account recently.
