Gateway pushes agency decision back 2 weeks

Gateway 2000, which had hoped to finish its $70 million review last week, is expected to pick an agency late next week. Separately, Barb Gross, manager of global advertising, will be agency contact; Global Ad Director Scott Haslam has taken an assignment developing marketing and promo strategies for Gateway's major accounts business. Review finalists are J. Walter Thompson USA, Chicago and New York, and D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, Los Angeles.
