Gateway pushes trade-ins

Published on .

Gateway, N. Sioux City, S.D., introduced a marketing program, Your :)Ware, allowing consumers to buy a PC with full Internet service for 48 monthly payments as low as $49.95 a month. After two years, a consumer can trade in the PC on a new Gateway system, a move to make it easy for customers to upgrade. Gateway also will give customers the option of using Netscape Communications Corp.'s Navigator browser rather than Microsoft Corp.'s Internet Explorer.
