The channel features a mix of videos, documentaries and shows hosted by local vee-jays, but is not limited to country music. It includes genres like rock, Latin pop and rock, and rhythm and blues.
MusicCountry Latin America is targeted at listeners aged 25-54. The launch is part of Gaylord's ongoing global branding strategy for the channel. An English-language version recently launched in the Asia-Pacific region.
Gaylord already operates the Solo Tango channel in Argentina, and will convert its Portuguese-language channel CMT International to MusicCountry Brazil on Feb. 1.
