Geier: New media one piece of the marketing pie

In keeping with consumer demand, new media technologies will integrate with rather than oust existing media platforms, said Philip H. Geier Jr., chairman-CEO of Interpublic Group of Cos., New York, at the 1999 American Association of Advertising Agencies Management Conference & Annual Meeting. New technologies represent only one example of new forms of marketing communications, such as relationship marketing, that will deliver brand values, he said.
