Procter & Gamble and Paramount have joined with the German broadcaster UFA to produce prime-time series programming, Advertising Age has learned. The programs will be filmed in UFA's studios and will likely air throughout Europe on RTL. The deal, which insiders said is worth about $60 million, allows for the shows, if successful, to be sold to the U.S. market. The pact is a mirror of the one P&G and Paramount have in the U.S. for the domestic market. In that deal NBC has a first-look agreement for the programming.
