German publishing giant to launch online subsidiary

DUESSELDORF--German publishing group Handelsblatt, a subsidiary of the Holtzbrinck Group, is planning to set up an online division for its leading titles "Handelsblatt,'' "Wirtschaftswoche'' and "DM.'' The subsidiary, with about 60 staff members, is yet to be named. The publishing group's sales last year grew by 13.6% to $339 million, with ad sales growing by 19.9% to $172 million.
