Gibson Greetings bows on the Web

Cincinnati-based Gibson Greetings announced two major Web initiatives Dec. 8. It's taken a minority equity stake in Greet Street, an E-Greetings Web site. The terms of the deal include a $6 million investment. Gibson cards will be available at Greet Street's site. Gibson also signed a deal with software company Firefly. Gibson products including greeting cards, paper goods and licensed products will be available through Firefly software products, and Firefly Greetings will be linked directly to online shopping service Peapod.
