Gibson gone from MLB Enterprises post

Published on .

Major League Baseball Enterprises confirmed last Friday that Don Gibson, senior VP-business affairs, has resigned effective Sept. 13 to pursue other interests. Mr. Gibson, while specifically in charge of licensing, had run the unit over the past two years as Major League Baseball Properties following the departure of Richard White. He surrendered those duties last spring after Greg Murphy was hired as president-CEO of the restructured company. A search has begun for a replacement, who will work with a new group of apparel licensees and marketing partners, including Nike, Reebok International and Starter Corp.
