Gillette Chairman to retire

Gillette Co. Chairman-CEO Alfred Zien announced Feb. 18 he will retire on April 15, following the company's annual meeting. He has been the company's chairman for eight years. Mr. Zien, 68, will be succeeded by Michael Hawley, 61, president-chief operating officer. Mr. Hawley led the recent company management reorganization that aligned global management along core categories worldwide.
