Gillette sells pen unit

Gillette Co., Boston, said it has reached an agreement to sell its stationery product business to household product marketer Newell Rubbermaid. The sale of the unit, which markets the Liquid Paper, Parker and Paper Mate brands, ties into Gillette's plans to concentrate on its better-performing razor and toiletries businesses and improve overall financial results.
