Global agency ahead for Nissan

Nissan Motor Co.'s revival plan, announced the week of Oct. 18 in Tokyo, includes a statement that calls for a single global ad agency. But what that means for TBWA/Chiat/Day, Playa del Rey, Calif., agency of record for Nissan North America, Gardena, Calif., is uncertain. "At this point, there has been no decision," a Nissan spokeswoman said today. Nissan spent $576.6 million in measured media on its Nissan and Infiniti brands in the U.S. in 1998, according to Competitive Media Reporting.
