Global online information service appoints German agency

DUESSELDORF--Infoball.de, which provides online access to global information, has awarded its first branding and online advertising task to Online Marketing Agency following a pitch with several unnamed agencies.

Online Marketing's brief covers online advertising, media, B2B communications and Web design.

Duesseldorf-based Infoball.de says it is the only portal worldwide to provide information on more than 100 million professional and technical books and articles through the integration of more than 600 university libraries, private libraries and data banks. The service is aimed at professionals, academics, scientists, medics and journalists.

Online Marketing was launched in May 2000 by Reinhold Adolph, former managing director of D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, Hamburg, along with online marketing consultant Johann H. Stoeten, formerly at Grey Interactive and Frank Voeller, former creative director MarchFirst. Clients include: Swiss news portal NZZ Online, 20th Century Fox of Germany and Moneyshelf.com.
