Global PC narrows review

Global PC, Alameda, Calif., narrowed its review to choose a first agency for its $10 million to $15 million account to Butler, Shine & Stern, Sausalito, Calif.; J. Walter Thompson USA, San Francisco; and Suissa Miller, Los Angeles, according to people familiar with the review. The startup marketer is preparing to launch in about a half-dozen markets a simple $299 computer that works with a TV set or computer monitor. Review consultant Steve Smith of Smith Public Relations, Los Angeles, could not be reached at deadline.
