No GM agency changes

General Motors Corp. officials said Monday there will be no consolidation of ad agencies as a result of the planned merger of its Pontiac and GMC divisions. Ronald Zarrella, group VP in charge of North American sales, service and marketing, announcing the merger at a press conference in Warren, Mich., said, "We will continue to manage our brands the way we have in the past." Mr. Zarella said the merger is an attempt to market and distribute vehicles more efficiently. Pontiac's agency is D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, Bloomfield Hills; GMC uses McCann-Erickson Worldwide, Troy.
