GM steering GMC to Ammirati

Published on .

General Motors Corp.'s Pontiac-GMC Division is expected to announce, perhaps as early as this week, that it has given its $70 million GMC account to Ammirati Puris Lintas, New York, from sister Interpublic agency McCann-Erickson Worldwide, Troy, Mich., without a review, executives close to the automaker said. It's GM's first account change since 1958. None of the parties could be reached for comment by deadline.
