As extensions of the multiyear U.S. Olympic sponsorship at General Motors Corp., Detroit, the carmaker's GMC truck brand today announced its Envoy sport-utility has become title sponsor of two qualifying track and field events. GMC also said U.S. track and field Olympic-medal hopeful Marion Jones will appear in Envoy TV and print ads, plus direct mail, GMC's Web site (gmc.com) and personal appearances. The first TV spot with Ms. Jones breaks Jan. 29 during NBC's live broadcast of the Golden Spike Tour. The Wimbley Group, Itasca, Ill., GMC's African-American agency of record, is handling.
