Luxury chocolate marketer Godiva Chocolatier, convinced that its targeted audience increasingly is tapping into wireless applications and devices, is posting information about its locations and products on wireless and mobile devices via Fry Multimedia, an Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Web developer. Users of mobile phones and wireless handheld devices now can find the nearest of Godiva's 232 retail stores and 2,500 counters in department and specialty stores. Fry developed the application, which identifies a customer's current location, determines the nearest Godiva outlet and displays an electronic map to that store, using Digital Plastic from Ecliptic Systems. According to Godiva, customers made over 190,000 online searches for Godiva locations over the past year on Godiva.com
