GOLF RETAILER HANDS ONLINE ACCOUNT TO TBWA

(Aug. 23, 2001) -- Callaway Golf, Carlsbad, Calif., has awarded its online advertising account to Omnicom Group's TBWA/Chiat/Day, San Francisco.

The makers of Big Bertha and other clubs said the agency initially will evaluate Callaway Golf's online site for interactivity, personalization and direct marketing.

In a statement, Ian Rowden, executive vice president of global advertising, praised the agency's "creative excellence, particularly in the area of brand expression."
