GOODBY, SILVERSTEIN GETS GOODYEAR ACCOUNT

(April 12, 2001) -- Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Akron, Ohio, has awarded its $60 million advertising account to Omnicom Group's Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco. Other finalists included Omnicom's GSD&M, Austin, Texas, and Omnicom Group's BBDO and Interpublic Group of Cos.' McCann-Erickson Worldwide, both in New York. The incumbent was WPP Group's J.
