E-Trade's TV campaign from Omnicom Group's Goodby Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco, won the Best in Show award for its "Emergency Room" spot featuring a man afflicted with "money coming out of the wazoo." The spot also won the single-ad television prize in the corporate image category, and another E-Trade execution won the outdoor prize in the same category.
Schwab's "Smarter Investors" campaign from Omnicom sibling BBDO, New York, won the TV campaign prize in the consumer retail category, and two executions from the campaign, featuring retired athletes and ex-Beatle Ringo Starr, won the single-spot categories.
Awards were presented Tuesday night at a gala dinner in New York.
Other multiple winners include the print campaign for Barclay's Global Investors from Publicis Groupe's Saatchi & Saatchi, San Francisco, which won print campaign and single-execution prizes in the consumer retail category; and Brouillard Communications, New York, which won prizes for two single print ads for Morgan Stanley & Co. in the corporate image category and the TV campaign award for its effort for Instinet in the business-to-business category. -- Mercedes Cardona
