Gore campaign launches spot

Published on .

The Gore/Lieberman presidential campaign released its first advertising Aug. 22. The 60-second bio spot from the campaign's Victory 2000 media team will run in 16 states, with a shorter version running in Iowa. The spot profiles Vice President Al Gore, saying he fought for the environment, welfare reform and prescription drugs for seniors. The spot closes with the line, "Al Gore, married 30 years, father of four, fighting for us.'' The Bush campaign, which launched its first ad Aug. 21, today claimed the Gore spot "exaggerates'' the vice president's biography.
