White Castle Systems and agency J. Walter Thompson USA, Detroit, got a jolt last week when it was disclosed that Burger King Corp. was planning a spot (top) using a nicotine-style patch to illustrate burger craving. White Castle, as part of its long-running "Cravings" campaign, already had completed a similar spot, which began airing Aug. 7 regionally (bottom). BK's spot was launched on network TV last night as part of the chain's new national campaign from Ammirati Puris Lintas, New York.
