Grey Worldwide appointed Jonathan Davies as acting managing director of its troubled Turkish affiliate. Cenajans Grey, Istanbul is minority-owned by Grey Worldwide and is the by far Turkey's largest ad agency. Founder and ex-Chairman of Cenajans Grey, M. Nail Kecili, was arrested and sent to Ankara Ulucanlar Penitentiary to await trial. He is charged with taking part in organized crime in relation to a high-profile scandal involving agency client Egebank. On Nov. 11, Mr. Kecili's resigned as chairman of Cenajans Grey. He was replaced by John Shannon, the London-based international president of Grey Worldwide. At the end of last month, Jonathan Davies was appointed acting managing director of the agency. Further top level appointments at Cenajans Grey from Grey Worldwide will continue. The next step will involve financial officers, according to Mr. Davies.
