Grey changes Kraft managers

Grey Advertising said two executives from its Los Angeles office--Exec VP-Managing Director Steven Balmer and Vice Chairman Alan Kupchick--are transferring to New York to take over management of Grey's Kraft Foods account (Post cereals, Kool-Aid, Minute Rice and other brands). Mr. Balmer succeeds longtime Grey manager Exec VP Carol Herman, who is leaving Grey to consult, and Mr. Kupchick succeeds Creative Director Scott Kulok, who is also leaving Grey. In Los Angeles, Grey Western Division CEO Jeff Alperin will assume Mr. Balmer's management duties in Los Angeles.Airwalk sets fall campaign: Airwalk, Altoona, Pa., plans to double its ad budget to an estimated $40 million in 1998, most of which will fund a back-to-school campaign called "Airwalk: The Musical," which illustrates the diversity of Airwalk's footwear line. The integrated effort includes Airwalk's first primetime TV buy. A separate fall print push behind its action sports family of skateboaring, snowboarding and BMX biking products touts technical and performance characteristics. Lambesis, Del Mar, Calif., handles.
