Grey sidetracks plan to shuffle New York staff

Grey Advertising shelved a plan the week of Dec. 18 to reorganize and reduce staff that would include several account managers at the VP level and higher, according to an executive familiar with the plan. Junior staffers at Grey--which recently lost Danone Group, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America and Kraft Foods--are also said to be jittery over the chance of layoffs. However, executives at Grey said no substantial personnel changes are planned.
