GTE helps

GTE this week launches a new TV and print campaign aimed at helping the consumer work through the confusion surrounding the deregulation of the telecommunications industry. The campaign, handled by GTE agency Focus, features Irving, Texas-based GTE employees assisting customers in problem/solution scenarios to the background score of the famous Beatles song ``Help.''

The spots, to run on cable and network, will be supported with print ads in regional editions of consumer magazines. The TV campaign will run in major GTE markets.
