Charlotte Guyman resigned as general manager of online sales and marketing for Microsoft Corp.'s Microsoft Network
, Redmond, Wash. Ms. Guyman is the latest in a series of departures of high-level executives over the past several years in Microsoft's online business. The operation has gone through a series of reorganizations as Microsoft has worked to keep up with Web rivals such as America Online. A spokeswoman, however, said Ms. Guyman has been planning to leave for a year and that the move is unrelated to the most recent reorganization, which folded MSN into a new Consumer & Commerce Group. Ms. Guyman will leave May 14 "to pursue her own personal life'' and spend more time with her family after 12 years at Microsoft, the spokeswoman said. Jim Kinsella, general manager of msnbc.com, will take on the added title of general manager of sales and marketing for MSN.
