Almost half of teens online

More than 9 million teen-agers, 47.6 percent of the total U.S. teen-age population, will be online by the end of the year, according to the 1998 eOverview Report released by eMarketer. The report also found that the number of children ages 3 to 17 who regularly access the Internet will rise from 13 million in 1998 to 38 million in 2002.
