Published on .

Handspring, marketer of the Visor handheld organizer based on the Palm operating system, awarded its account to Leo Burnett USA, Chicago, as expected. Incumbent Butler, Shine & Stern, Sausalito, along with Fallon McElligott, Minneapolis, participated in the review. Spending was estimated at $20 million, but Handspring spent only $76,000 in measured media in 1999, according to Competitive Media Reporting. Starcom Media Services, Chicago, won the media assignment.
