Hard Rock Cafe cooks up outdoor ads

Published on .

Hard Rock Cafe on June 1 broke the second leg of its $10 million marketing campaign with out-of-home ads in San Francisco, London, Denver and Washington. The restaurant chain has been rolling out its branding ads for the past month in cities including Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York. The campaign from O'Connor Kenny Partners, Memphis, includes billboards, transit ads and taxi ads with headlines including "Go ahead, sing with your mouth full" and "Rock 'n' roll is here to stay (we've got it screwed to the walls)." Last summer, the 104-restaurant chain embarked on its first comprehensive marketing program with pilot ads in several cities.
