Harris Interactive acquires Yankelovich Custom Research

Harris Interactive, an Internet-based market research company, is acquiring the custom research division of Yankelovich Partners to expand Harris' research expertise and market reach. Yankelovich's custom research division, which conducts most of its research via telephone interviews, is expected to bring in $15 million in additional revenue during the remainder of calendar year 2001. As part of the agreement, Harris Interactive hired approximately 65 Yankelovich employees. Financial details were not disclosed.
