FORMER HARVEST FOODS PRESIDENT-CEO INDICTED

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.-A 31-count federal indictment, including charges of mail fraud, money laundering and conspiracy, was returned by a grand jury against three Arkansas men including Donald Pennington, former president-CEO of the Harvest Foods grocery chain here.

Harvest filed for protection under federal bankruptcy laws in December 1994. Mr. Pennington is alleged to have received fees that were paid to Arkansas food brokers John Oldner and Billy John Armstrong for consulting services. Messrs. Oldner and Armstrong are also listed in the indictment.
