Hasbro, New York, said it agreed to acquire privately held Tiger Electronics, Vernon Hills, Ill., for an estimated $335 million. Tiger Electronics markets a number of product lines, including Giga Pets, Laser Tag and other hand-held games. Hasbro, which claimed $3.2 billion in revenue in 1997, markets the Playskool, Tonka, Kenner, Milton Bradley and Parker Bros. brands in addition to Hasbro. Tiger President-CEO Randy Rissman and Senior Exec VP Roger Shiffman will retain their posts. The deal is expected to close by late June.
