Havas Advertising, Paris, will realign its ad agency holdings, shifting New York shop Jordan McGrath Case & Partners Euro RSCG out from under its Euro RSCG network and placing Jordan under its Arnold Worldwide Partners network.

Boston operation to grow into second global network.

The move will give Arnold a much-needed New York office and help Havas grow Boston-based Arnold into its second global agency network. Havas bought Arnold and parent Snyder Communications last year.

No account shifts
Pat McGrath, chairman and CEO of Jordan, says the agency's client accounts will not shift as a result. Jordan is, however, starting to work on portions of Arnold's McDonald's regional franchise account.

"We'll be involved, but Arnold will continue to run the business," Mr. McGrath said, adding that Jordan will operate as an autonomous agency in the Arnold Worldwide network. Jordan will be known as Jordan McGrath Case & Partners; the Euro RSCG moniker will be dropped. Mr. McGrath said staff changes are not anticipated.

Jordan McGrath's clients include Procter & Gamble Co. (Bounty, Zest, Era), Novartis Consumer Health (TheraFlu, Tavist, Triaminic), GlaxoSmithKline (Nicorette, NicoDerm CQ), Pharmacia Corp. (NasalCrom, Rogaine), AT&T (broadband and Internet service), Welch's and Hasbro (board games).

300 employes, $675 million in billings
Jordan McGrath has 300 employees and claimed $675 million in 2000 billings. It was established 31 years ago and has been a part of the Euro RSCG network for two years.

Havas Advertising released a report March 1 stating fiscal year 2000 results exceeded expectations. Adjusted revenue had increased 13.8%, compared to 12.7% at this time last year. The report also commented on Snyder Communications, acquired by Havas on Sept. 26, 2000, stating the integration was "successfully completed" and that the results -- a 31% increase in revenue and 15.6% increase in profitability -- met forecasts.
