New head of APL Paris

Philippe Bernard, 44, chairman of APL Paris, replacing Alain Laurens, who will be leaving the agency "to pursue other interests." The rest of the Paris management team remains unchanged.

Mr. Bernard reports to Philip Palazzo, APL president, international operations. A native of France, Mr. Bernard has worked for APL for 14 years, the last two as chairman-CEO of APL Spain. Manola Valmorisco, currently vice chairman and creative director of APL Spain, becomes deputy chairman and chief creative officer, while Luis Echegoyen is promoted to managing director. Mr. Bernard will continue as chairman of the Spanish operation in addition to his French duties.

In addition, Vincent Negre, regional director-southern Europe, will move to director, special projects worldwide, based in London. Martin Puris, chairman-CEO of APL Worldwide, noted that the Paris office has won three Cannes Lions in the past three years.
