NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- H.J. Heinz Co., Pittsburgh, said it plans to spend an extra $100 million on advertising globally

The increase is due to debt reduction spawned by its planned spin-off of its Starkist tuna and various pet-food brands to Del Monte Foods.
