"Where have all the cookies gone?" the voice-over asks in a new spot for Hershey's Cookies 'n' Creme. In this case, the purported shortage has forced a girl scout to go door to door selling power tools instead of cookies. DDB Needham Worldwide, New York, created the spot for Hershey Foods Corp., with help from Editing Concepts. Hershey could use a boost from the cookie bits product, since it recently reported earnings would fall below expectations for the second quarter (AA, July 13). Copywriter: Earl Sandberg.
