Hill Holliday agrees to sell to Interpublic

In 1998's third big agency acquisition, Interpublic Group of Cos. said it signed a definitive agreement to acquire Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos and its approximately $600 million in billings. Terms were not disclosed. Boston-based Hill Holliday gives Interpublic a major presence in New England and also another New York agency, Hill, Holliday/Altschiller.
