Jon Krevolin, 35, and Larry Silberfein, 43, join the WPP Group agency this month as senior partners and group creative directors. The two are the first top-level hires by Michael Campbell, who arrived at JWT from Omnicom Group's BBDO Worldwide, New York in January as executive creative director.
Mr. Krevolin, formerly senior VP-creative director at BBDO, New York, will work on Unilever's Lipton Brands and the newly established Pepsi-Lipton Tea Partnership, as well as UDV North America's Malibu Rum. Mr. Silberfein, formerly North American creative director at Havas Advertising's Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/Euro RSCG, New York, will head creative on the KPMG International account and will help out on the UDV account as necessary. "It was basically an offer I couldn't refuse," Mr. Krevolin said. He worked with Mr. Campbell at BBDO and said he was impressed with the changes he has seen at JWT under President Bob Jeffrey's watch. Mr. Silberfein is also enthusiastic about the direction of the agency. "JWT seemed to be taking off," he said. "It was one of those opportunities you look for."
